WET+PRO, a supplier of wetcleaning products, has introduced Leather Supreme, a highly concentrated detergent for leather and fur, and Leather King, a protective leather-care coating.

Leather Supreme is an all-in-one detergent designed to simplify traditionally difficult and complex leather-cleaning procedures into a single step. According to the company, the detergent helps keep leather soft, protects its surface luster, and prevents shrinkage and other problems.
For thick leather, the recommended procedure is to add 400 ml of detergent and wash in cold water for 10 minutes, followed by two or three rinses. After five minutes of high-speed extraction, tumble dry without heat for 10 minutes, then hang to dry. For thin leather, use 200 ml of detergent and wash for five minutes, followed by two or three rinses and three minutes of high-speed extraction. Follow the same drying procedure.
After air drying in the shade for approximately three to four days, tumble the garments at 105°F for about 10 minutes. During air drying, gently stretch the seam areas periodically to help restore the garment’s shape.
For black leather, the company recommends using Leather Plus D detergent alongside Leather Supreme to help restore color depth.

Leather King (革王), developed by Japan’s Cosmo Coating, is a silicone coating for leather. The product is described as an industry-first formulation incorporating inorganic components such as silicone. Its key features and application guidelines include:
- Protective silicone film: Forms a thin protective layer to help guard against scratches and the penetration of contaminants.
- Waterproofing and water repellency: Helps prevent water and moisture from penetrating the leather, reducing the risk of mold growth and hardening.
- Texture and luster preservation: Adds suppleness to stiffened leather and restores its natural, subtle sheen.
- Thin application: A small amount provides effective coverage. Excessive application may leave a sticky residue.
- Thorough drying: After application, allow the coating to dry and cure completely in the shade to achieve its intended protective performance.
Leather King is not suitable for suede or other napped leather.

“Processing high-ticket leather items in-house can enhance a cleaner’s image and profitability,” said Kelly Jun, president of WET+PRO. “There is no longer any reason to be intimidated by leather.”
