Mr. Bob Edwards from A.L. Wilson Chemical explains how to remove a remaining stain with a bleach. In part 4, he quickly summarizes oxidizing bleaches and reducing bleaches
[Oxidizing Bleaches – Color Safe]
- Sodium Percarbonate (Oxyclean) – not safe for wool and silk
- Sodium Perborate (Clorox2) – not safe for wool and silk
- Hydrogen Peroxide – safe for wool and silk
[Oxidizing Bleaches – NOT Color Safe]
- Potassium Permanganate (PermaGo) – good for residual ink removal, white only
- Sodium Hypochlorite (Clorox) – not recommended because it damages fabric’s tensile strength
[Reducing Bleaches]
- Titanium Sulfate (YellowGo) – good for residual ink removal
- Sodium Hydrosulfite (DroGo “B”) – good for removing oxidation over time
