Drawing on more than 40 years of U.S. industry experience, NYM unveils its first branded model in partnership with China’s OASIS
New York Machinery (NYM) is entering the global drycleaning equipment market with the introduction of its own equipment brand. Building on more than 40 years of supplying overseas laundry and drycleaning equipment to the U.S. market, the company is expanding beyond equipment importing and distribution to participate directly in product development.
Working with its partner OASIS, a major commercial laundry equipment manufacturer in China, NYM officially unveiled its first NYM-branded model at Texcare Asia & China Laundry Expo 2026, held Sept. 21–23 in Shanghai, China. According to NYM, the equipment attracted interest and positive feedback from industry professionals attending the exhibition.
NYM has built its experience and technical expertise by providing equipment sales, installation, technical support and customer service to the U.S. drycleaning industry. Through its work with cleaning businesses across the country, the company has gained insight into customers’ needs concerning equipment operation, workflow efficiency and maintenance.
Applying that practical experience to product development is central to NYM’s own-brand initiative. By combining its understanding of the U.S. market and technical experience with OASIS’s manufacturing capabilities, NYM aims to develop equipment that delivers the performance and reliability required in everyday cleaning operations. Operating efficiency, ease of use and simplified maintenance are among its key development priorities.
The launch also marks a shift in NYM’s business model. Previously, the company selected equipment from overseas manufacturers for distribution in the United States. Direct involvement in product development will now allow NYM to incorporate customer needs and technical knowledge gained in the field into the equipment itself.
NYM plans to expand into overseas markets by drawing on its established U.S. business base and manufacturing partnership with OASIS. The company aims to turn more than four decades of equipment supply and technical service experience into a competitive advantage for its own brand as it broadens its presence in the international drycleaning equipment market.
