Dry-cleaning business experiences boom during RNC

[wisn.com – 2024.07.18] While some Milwaukee businesses have seen a slowdown in business during the Republican National Convention, one has seen a boom.

Wolf’s Dry Cleaners & Laundry, located on Seventh and West Vilet streets, has been crazy busy keeping up with clothes from media members, RNC staff and the Secret Service.

Todd Sneed, owner of the business, said that after suffering through COVID-19, this is a major boost for them.

“We suffered through three years of COVID. This week helped immensely in getting caught up,” Sneed said.

Even though the business prepared for the RNC, it’s still been a challenge.

“We’ve been preparing for this for over two years, and it finally hit, and it was overwhelming, to say the least. We were able to actually get it through and get it done with a very minimal amount of mix-ups or anything,” Sneed said.

Wolf’s has been sending out seven trucks every morning throughout the city, bringing them back to the cleaners and sending them right back out the same day.
